Better Disease Control by Multidrug Regimen in Scabies: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Introduction: Scabies is a highly resilient condition with varying morbidity worldwide. The treatment options widely used for the disease include topical permethrin 5% and oral Ivermectin similar efficacy. Treatment failure due to non-compliance major problem current modalities. Objectives: This study was designed compare efficacy of combination gold standard regimen scabies. Materials Methods: A randomized controlled trial done 212 patients, divided randomly into two groups Group 1 2. were treated two-time application one week apart while 2 ivermectin (200μg/kg) on single day. Patients followed up every 4 weeks assess adverse events. Results: in group more compared after follow (72.6% vs 65.1% week; 89.6% 80.2% week) however it not statistically significant.
